At the time of writing, this blog is built with Jekyll. It’s a great static site generator, but I’ve been wanting to switch to Eleventy for some time.
Eleventy is the ideal choice for me because:
- It has a fantastic community
- Its build times are faster
The trouble is that I never found a tutorial I liked… Until now.
For the past week or two, I’ve been working through Andy Bell’s fantastic new course. It’s called Learn Eleventy From Scratch. You go from a completely empty directory to a kick-ass website with all the latest and greatest HTML/CSS/A11Y goodness baked in from the start.
I’ve almost finished the course. When I do, I’ll switch this website over to Eleventy. As such, there will be a short hiatus in my posting.
In the meantime, check out Learn Eleventy From Scratch yourself! Even if you’re not too fussed about Eleventy, you will learn a lot about building a modern, progressively enhanced website.
If you have questions, feedback, or any other suggestions, please do email me. I'd love to hear from you!
