The multi-line editor in Firefox DevTools

When you just want to test out some code, it can be annoying to keep logging everything to the console. Thankfully, the Firefox DevTools come equipped with a handy multi-line editor!

To try it out:

  1. Open the Web Console by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+K on Windows or CMD+OPTION+K on macOS.
  2. Toggle multi-line mode by pressing CTRL+B on Windows or CMD+B on macOS.
  3. Create new lines by pressing the ENTER key.
  4. Run your code by pressing CTRL+ENTER on Windows or CMD+ENTER on macOS.

You can highlight specific lines of your code and run only those. You can even open and save local files. For more information, check out multi-line mode in the MDN Web Docs 😊
